Baby Girl's Nursery

A few weeks ago John and I went and picked out the nursery furniture.  We shopped around quite a bit and decided to work with this store called Great Beginnings in the DC metro area.  It is a huge store with almost too much selection, but the workers are incredibly knowledgeable and were willing to answer any questions we had (even if they were a little silly).  After much deliberation (you should talk to John to find out just how painful this entire ordeal was), we decided to go with the Ragazzi Pompei collection in snow white.  Here is a picture of the collection, but in the espresso color:

We ordered a bundle which included: the stages crib, the 7 drawer dresser, the mirror, the nightstand, and the bookshelf.  We also picked out a glider and a footstand, which is also a nursing stool.  Unfortunately I got a call this past week that the bookshelf is on back-order, and their are no signs of producing any more any time soon.  The manufacturer gave me some different options, but I am going with the armoire instead (a nicer piece of furniture) for the same price.  We are just going to use our built-in bookshelves downstairs for all of her books, but I was a little bummed out I am not going to get the bookshelf, but fairly minor in the big scheme of things.

We also ordered her paint for her bedroom and her bathroom (I know she already has her own bathroom...totally spoiled)!  We got it from Restoration Hardware Baby and Child.  Her room is going to be a light gray color (white furniture and pink accents) and her bathroom is going to be pink (with chocolate brown accents).

John and I have begun cleaning out the office and it is slowly becoming her room.  I think the hardest part was just getting started, and hopefully now it will all start to come together.

I have my 24 week appointment in the morning, so hopefully it all goes well!
